Greetings internet dwellers!

The final original house for HHN 34 has been revealed. With the announcement today, the originals this year are giving off a very different vibe than in year's past. I'm sure people are going to also be debating how these fit into the overall "theme."

Galkn: Monsters Of The North is described as follows: "In a remote northern village, a wicked being rises from the dead, bringing a horde of monsters and demons from the fjords to wreak havoc on the townspeople. You’ll face icy, horned, winged and wolfish fiends that gradually merge into one giant horror. Then you’ll try to escape the belly of the beast."

A few year's back, we of course had the scare zone Vikings: Undead. While Galkn isn't a direct zone upgrade to a house, a complete Nordic horror experience has great potential. I am intrigued. 

With that, we have all of our originals. Only 3 houses remain to round-out the house lineup. It's hard to believe that we are two months away from opening night.

The Spooky reveals keep coming this week. We now have more than half of our lineup for HHN 34. A rather interesting and creepy original, was revealed today. Grave of the Flesh is the latest house to be unveiled. 

The house is described as follows: "Welcome to your funeral, where things are about to go from bad to worse. You’ll enter your grave and then the underworld, where flesh-eaters who feed on the dead will hunt you for all eternity." 

I often joked that the end of The Darkest Deal, HHN had straight-up sent us to hell. With Grave of the Flesh, it appears that they are doubling down on that scenario. I am intrigued and excited about this one. The premise seems really creepy and morbid. Just how I like it.

HHN had a lot of people squirming with anticipation yesterday, as there was no announcement. Alas, goose eggs. However, this "spooky week" continues today with our third original house announcement.

Dolls: Let's Play Dead is described as, "You’re about to become doll-sized and be hunted by toys that have been burnt, melded and stitched together by a twisted little girl." Sounds like Sid from Toy Story, has passed on some knowledge to a friend. 

I like the sound of this one. Dolls are creepy. I'm curious about us being the same size as these killer dolls. HHN of course is no stranger to creepy, killer dolls. Everyone knows of Chucky. However, they've dabbled in the non-famous kind in the past with such houses as Dollhouse of the Damned, and even Puppet Theater: Captive Audience. 

That's about it. We'll wait out the rest of the week for more announcements.

It appears we are getting a 2025 version of "Reveal Week" happening this week. Halloween Horror Nights started the week off, by announcing Hatchet And Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters is coming to HHN 34.

If the name sounds familiar, it should. Hatchet And Chains was a room featured in Slaughter Sinema 2 last year. This of course, would not be the first time a room in a Slaughter Sinema house, got a house upgrade at a later time. Attack Of The Swamp Yeti featured in the original Slaughter Sinema, was given a spiritual cousin in Yeti: Terror Of The Yukon, the following year. HHN also has tendency to upgrade Scare Zones as well. 

On social media, Hatchet And Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters is described as follows:

"In this Old West town, all hell is breaking loose. Red-hot lava demons are trying to possess everyone, melting everything in their path." 

Lava demons you say? Alrighty then.

This evening at Spooky Empire, the HHN wizards held a panel where they talked a bit about HHN. They also announced the first original house for HHN 34. El Artista: A Spanish Haunting, will center around an artist who moves to an isolated manor for some inspiration. His art soon comes alive, and possesses him. 

The concept sounds unique and creepy. A bit of a gothic, old-fashioned, haunted house feel. 

Also, as predicted, lighting rig porn season has begun at the parks. Rigs have begun to pop up, signaling the official start of street construction for HHN 34.
