When trying to come up with a setting for their bizarre characters and stories, Art & Design created the fictional town of Carey, Ohio, as a tangible place where the strange have taken up residence. In reality, their actually is a Carey, Ohio, and was the home of one of the Art & Design team members. In real life, the town was founded by William M. Buell, in 1843.
Over the years there have been countless houses, scare zones and characters, that populate the town. The most famous resident of Carey, is probably Albert Caine, also known as The Caretaker. The Caretaker resides in Willamette Valley, which is an area located in the town. Carey and Willamette, make their home in Wyandot County. Sound familiar? The Spirit Seekers once did a paranormal investigation at the Wyandot Estate, which we got to experience at HHN 20.
There is no rhyme, or reason to when Carey is used. You just never know when the strange will pop up in the tiny town.
