HHN 28, was the biggest event ever thus far. It added a 10th house for the first time its history. The event also ran for 36 nights, and spanned the course of three calendar months.

For this occasion, Halloween Horror Nights brought in a few very big IP's. The biggest of course, came in the form of the Netflix hit Stranger Things. Michael Myers also returned, in an adaptation of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. The classic 80's film Poltergeist, was also featured and was a surprise hit at the event. Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and Chucky, also made appearances in their own scare zones. 

The event also featured a lot of original content as well, and some would argue, were the strongest original houses the event had seen in quite some time.
