The original Dr. Oddfellow made his debut at Halloween Horror Nights 2000. His story was intertwined with Jack The Clown, as Jack, was employed by Oddfellow's traveling carnival. He had Jack killed when authorities were hot on the murderous clown's heels, and fearing he himself would be caught for his own crimes. Years later, Jack The Clown would be resurrected, sought out Oddfellow and killed him as vengeance. Jack would take possession of Oddfellow's effects, including a mysterious cane, and his carnival.
In 2023, Oddfellow would get a complete makeover and expanded backstory. This new version of Oddfellow, was obsessed with gaining immortality. His whole life was dedicated to achieving immortality. He spanned the globe, time, space, and dimensions, searching for not just artifacts to expand his powers, but oddities for his Grand Circus & Exposition. Oddfellow would use his Cane of Souls to trap the souls of victims, and use the powers of the zodiac to grow his power and feed his desire for immortality. Jack the Clown, was still intertwined with Oddfellow, only this time their rivalry would become more personal.
Oddfellow would ultimately kill Jack with his own hand. During the struggle, Jack injured Oddfellow, spattering blood on Jack before being stuffed in his Jack-in-the-box. This granted Jack the same immortality powers as Oddfellow. Years later after Jack was resurrected, he still sought out Oddfellow, killed him and took possession of his effects, including his Cane of Souls.
After being killed, Oddfellow's own soul was trapped in the Zodiac Dimension for 16 years, before escaping in 2023 for HHN32.
