Yes, Halloween Horror Nights 20 had an Icon to celebrate the milestone. There would be no clowning around this year. Instead, Horror Nights went to the source: fear itself. Or, Fear himself. Halloween Horror Nights created a character that we were told, was solely responsible for the past nineteen years of terror. Everything that had come before was a direct result of Fear. Every scream, every creature, every drop of blood was all his doing. That includes past Icons of HHN being used as forces of evil for Fear.
This was a milestone year for Halloween Horror Nights. We were told that a "new era of darkness" had begun, promising that things in the future would be different. It had been said that past Icons like Jack The Clown and The Caretaker, were going away for a while, as Halloween Horror Nights was going to try and bring fresh, new, horrifying ideas and characters to future events. A new age was beginning indeed. |
