Captain America: Civil War may boast some spectacular action set-pieces, however, the shaky story and once again Marvel's inability to craft a compelling villain, lets it down. Zimo, is basically in this film, as fan service. Character motivations as to why they are fighting, come out of left field and feel forced. The title may say Captain America, but Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man, is front and center in this tale. Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, and Tom Holland's Spider-Man, are the standouts here, as the title character is shuffled aside to make way for a morality tale, about right and wrong. That being said, somehow Civil War manages to be mostly fun; as a battle royale with all of Marvel's heavyweights, comes to a head. The Russo Brothers, have crafted a dazzling action spectacle to make-up for what the film lacks in story. Even they though, take a step back from their vastly superior Winter Soldier. It's fun, but not much else.
