COMMENTS

Don't Breathe, is a showcase for what Fede Alvarez is capable of, as a horror director. I personally was not a fan of his Evil Dead remake. However, I saw the eye the guy had for horror. Alvarez, crafts a tension fueled romp, that will have you on the edge of your seat, the whole time. Turning the "home invasion" flick on its head, Don't Breathe is a slick, smart, exercise, that horror fans will love. While the film is tightly crafted, there are a few things that don't work. Some of the dialogue is a little wooden, and some of the set-up is a little forced. That being said, Stephen Lang, deserves a lot of praise here. His Blind Man, is creepy, yet layered. There are twists and turns at every corner, and you won't know who to root for, until the very end. I don't want to say too much. Don't Breathe, is good stuff. Very good stuff.
