COMMENTS

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, may have some spots that don't quite hit. However, the vast majority of the film does. Anchored by four charismatic performances from Johnson, Gillan, Hart and Black, Jumanji succeeds probably more than it should. Jack Black, is fantastic here. Both him, and Kevin Hart, provide some of the best laughs in the film. There is one scene in particular, that had me laughing harder than any other this year. Surprisingly, Welcome to the Jungle has a good heart to it as well, which rounds out the film nicely. Sure, some of its offerings may fall a bit on the generic side. However, the film glides along both with its premise and its leads. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a fun film to the end, and is a worthy successor to its Robin Williams predecessor.
