Aside from the lovely screenplay, what ultimately makes The Nice Guys work, is the chemistry between Crowe and Gosling. Shane Black, directs this wacky, offbeat tale, with spunk. The film oozes entertainment, and watching the two leads play off each other throughout, is the real treat. Young Angourie Rice, holds her own here too, and adds an extra flavor to the story. The film does tend to meander a bit, and gets lost in its own smartness. However, it's a small blemish on an otherwise fantastic film. It's fun, funky, funny, and great.
