Greetings internet dwellers! Much to my delight, the Universal Classic Monsters are making a comeback at HHN 29. The last time we saw the crew represented at HHN, was in 2015 in the All NIte Die-In: Double Feature scare zone. Before that, the last time we saw them in house form, was in 2012's House of Horrors. House of Horrors has its own stories behind it, but that's for another day. This announcement, was a weird one, to say the least. Moving on. In the description of the house on the blog, it says that we will pretty much see all the "classic" monsters, in their domain. The artwork, shows everyone from Dracula, to The Hunchback, so that gets me excited. I love the Classic Monsters, and this house makes me immensely excited. I can't wait to experience it. You can see the announcement video below.

Greetings internet dwellers!
Our second house of HHN 29, has been revealed. The Nightinglaes, became instant fan favorites back in 2011. For years, the die-hards have clamored to have them return to the event. They finally got their wish. Maybe not in the way they thought, but I think a much more interesting premise. Nightingales: Blood Pit, takes the transforming demons to ancient Rome. In the midst of a drought, a ruthless emperor has decided that the gladiatorial games will continue despite. They will continue nonstop, until the rains return. Enter the Nightingales, who feast on the dying and the dead. The first thing that leaps out to me, is the setting. HHN, has never gone to ancient Rome. The house being set in this time period, and gladiatorial combat, is something very new. That gets me excited, more so than the returning Nightingales. The first house to feature the Nightingales, was a solid house. It was part of that 2011 lineup, which I consider one of the best ever at HHN. The characters themselves, I don't really get they hype around them, but in this unique setting, I think this could work tenfold. Anyway, that's it for this announcement. There was no video, which could be telling for it's delay from Thursday. Two down, 8 to go. Hasta La Bye-bye for now. |
