Greetings internet dwellers!
It is that time: HHN 29 street preparations have begun! With the event starting early, and Rock The Universe no longer in the way, things are happening a bit sooner than normal. Thus, because we are in the very early stages, we are in the lighting rig porn phase of scare zone prep. Meaning, everyone and their mothers are going to be posting pictures of the lighting rigs for the next few weeks. So, without further delay, here are some for your viewing pleasure. Right now, only Central Park, San Francisco, and the edges of London, have the rigs up. No lights on them just yet, just the poles. As per usual you can follow along with me @HHNLegacy on Twitter, throughout street construction season for updates. Enjoy. Greetings internet dwellers! The cult classic Killer Klowns From Outer Space is returning to HHN, this time as a house. Yes, the property is getting the scare zone to house treatment. Most people I think, shouldn't be surprised by this. It was speculated last year, that this would happen to the property this year. Obviously, with the property growing into a house, there is a lot more for the the team to do to bring the property to life. As I said last year, I'm not the biggest fan of this film, and while the scare zone was ok, it lacked a lot for me. The space given to do the zone, I don't think helped it much. That being said, it was a very popular zone. According to the blog, the house will feature things like smells, and of course, the most popular scenes from the movie. It also says that we will encounter characters like Klownzilla, and the baby Klowns. The cotton candy cocoon room, and the circus tent spaceship, will also be featured. While I'm not a huge fan of the film, I am excited to see how they bring some of these things to life. Like I said last year, I think this is a property that would serve better as a house. You can see the announcement video below. Hasta La Bye-bye for now. Greetings internet dwellers! Listen? Do you smell something? After announcement season has gotten off track, and things got a bit wacky behind the scenes, we finally have something. And it's a big something. Yes, one of the worst kept secrets of HHN 29, Ghostbusters, based off of the original film, is coming to the event this year. This particular house, has been the subject of some craziness behind the scenes. Depending on who you talk to, it's proper place in the shenanigans is up for debate. Nevertheless, here we are, Ghostbusters is coming. The house will be based off of the original film. Here's the thing, when word began leaking out that this was coming to the event, I was kind of surprised at the reaction to a lot of people. This is a very big IP. It's an IP that has a history of people wanting to come to the event. When it was talked about last year even, people wanted it to show up. There's a lot of push-back over Ghostbusters being a bit to comedy oriented to come to the event. There's a lot of anti-Ghostbusters people out there apparently. Well, I'm not one of them. I can't wait for this. I'm so glad to finally have this announced. There's so much I want to say, but I'll save it for the Topher's Log. The blog says we will come face-to-face with the likes of Gozer, The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, and yes, Slimer. Basically it's the first film. Like I said, I can't wait for this. I love the promotional video for the house as well. It captures the spirit of Ghostbusters nicely, minus the Ghostbusters song. I hope they do use it in the house. Similarly, when Halloween was announced in 2014, they didn't use the original Halloween theme. However, it was featured in the house. Anyway, that's it for now. Hasta La Bye-bye for now.
