Greetings internet dwellers! Skull Island: Reign of Kong, is looking like it's ready to open very soon. Work has been going nonstop. They are playing with lighting, foliage has been planted, and the paint is drying. Universal Orlando started a little web series not too long ago called, Myth Explorer: The Quest For Kong. The series follows explorer Erin Ryder, who fans might know from Syfy's Destination Truth, as she explores the mystery of Skull Island. Today, Universal Orlando released a video with Mike West, explaining what guests can experience in terms of story on the ride. The Universal Orlando blog, goes into further detail of what to expect. Guests, will be joining the 8th Wonder Expedition Company, where they have been tasked to observe, and document the creatures of Skull Island. Of course, our first expedition does not go all that smoothly, as Skull Island is inhabited by some very dangerous creatures. Guests will find themselves lost in the jungles and caves of Skull Island, and in the middle of a fight between some prehistoric creatures. Enter, King Kong, but is he friend or foe? You can see the video below, or visit the Universal blog for more details. Greetings internet dwellers! If you follow Universal stuff closely, you may have heard rumblings of some land they may have bought. The rumor had come out in the wash a few months ago, during the Skyplex debate. Nothing was ever confirmed, nor denied, by the company. This morning, Comcast confirmed they purchased 475 acres of land, adjacent to where the parks sit currently. They acquired the land for $130 million, which is actually quite a steal. The land purchase was confirmed during an end of the year earnings call to shareholders. Since the rumor of the land purchase began, so have the what will it be rumors. Is it a third park? Is it for more hotels? Is it for Nintendo? Regardless of all that, Universal now has a huge plot of land, to do whatever the hell they want with. Time will only tell. Check out the full article in the Orlando Business Journal. |
