Greetings internet dwellers!
If you follow Universal stuff closely, you may have heard rumblings of some land they may have bought. The rumor had come out in the wash a few months ago, during the Skyplex debate. Nothing was ever confirmed, nor denied, by the company. This morning, Comcast confirmed they purchased 475 acres of land, adjacent to where the parks sit currently. They acquired the land for $130 million, which is actually quite a steal. The land purchase was confirmed during an end of the year earnings call to shareholders. Since the rumor of the land purchase began, so have the what will it be rumors. Is it a third park? Is it for more hotels? Is it for Nintendo? Regardless of all that, Universal now has a huge plot of land, to do whatever the hell they want with. Time will only tell. Check out the full article in the Orlando Business Journal.
