Greetings internet dwellers! It's been a hot minute since we last talked. I think you could collectively hear the sigh of relief from fans, as Halloween Horror Nights finally made another announcement today. Today marked the first house announcement since last October's Chucky. If I had my way we wouldn't hear anything at all until August. However, I am extra like that. Universal announced today that Naughty Dog's The Last Of Us, will be coming to Halloween Horror Nights 32. The house will be based on the popular first video game. Those who haven't been living under a rock in recent times, know that the game was recently turned into the incredibly successful HBO drama starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. The marketing material is trying to pound home that it is based on the game, even branding the promotional material with the Playstation logo. However, one has to think it's cross awareness from the HBO show, will be extremely beneficial for Halloween Horror Nights. Expect long, long, long, long lines. This also marks the first time since Resident Evil: Escape From Raccoon City at HHN 23, that Halloween Horror Nights has tackled a video game property at the event. The announcement was accompanied by a video, which holds similar aesthetics to last year's promotional materials. However, the ongoing, cryptic marketing of "the legend is real" is very present in the material. You can see the video below. Hasta La Bye-bye for now. |
