Greetings internet dwellers! After a turbulent period for HHN, we have our first "official" announcement. Seeds of Extinction has been revealed upon the public. This is another one of those houses I had been hearing a lot about, for a long time. Like Carnival Graveyard: Rust in Pieces, I really wanted to hear a bit more about the house, before I could gauge my feelings on it. According to the blog, Earth is in a post-apocalyptic state after a meteor crash. Humans have gone extinct, and vegetation has taken over. And mutated. And killing people. Perhaps from the meteor? That's not clear. The concept to this house is quite interesting, given what its inspirations are. There's a Lovecraft story, which the house has seems to have some "seeds" from. The story is called "The Colour out of Space". Funny thing, I believe that story is set in 1982. There's also the Creepshow segment starring Stephen King, called "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill", which has some similar elements as well. The team, has also thrown in a myriad of references to past HHN's in the house it seems. I'm quite excited to experience this house. There are elements in here that are quite unique and I can't wait to see what they do in here. Even if there are some weird holes in the concept (if humans are extinct, why are we walking around?). That's it for now. Keep your eyes peeled, as we are close to the end of reveals, and the announcement schedule is now all over the place. Anything can happen. Comments are closed.
